What should be in a Grant submission?
STEP ONE: PRELIMINARY
A Preliminary Grant submission should be no more than two typed pages in length
(using Arial or Myriad font 12 pt), and must include the following information:
- A brief description of the organisation or person submitting, with an indication of organisational mandate and competency in the area proposed.
- A short outline of the project, including: aims and objectives, the need(s) to be addressed, the audience, the media and anticipated outcomes.

Preliminary enquires which do not include all of the above information will not be considered.
All preliminary enquires should be submitted by email to grants@pilgrim.com.au.
Notification of the outcome of all preliminary enquires will be sent via email.
Preliminary enquires may be submitted at any time, but normally Grants are only made once a year and all the material submitted is reviewed in March each year (miss that and you wait another year)
STEP TWO: SUBSEQUENT SUBMISSION

If an organisation is making the submission then it must also send a copy of their latest annual report and audited financial statements.

The criteria for both the Prize and The Grants categories will include:
Innovation, Appropriateness to audience, Effectiveness, Content, Penetration, Value to the Kingdom
What sort of material will be considered for the Grants?
This should only be limited by your imagination…
- Some awards will be as repayable advances. For instance if a worthwhile Christian publishing project is to continue and a repayable advance would assist to get otherwise unfundable good works out there on sale, then this would certainly receive favorable consideration by Pilgrim.
By ‘media activity’ we will apply the widest interpretations to all means of modern communication: TV, Video/DVD, radio, mobile phones, internet, computer programs/games, press, books, comics, film, drama, theatre exhibitions, display, website, etc, (and whatever innovation may be invented in the mass-media Digi Age)
But the scheme will not apply to normal institutionalised Christian activities like church services, charities, hospitals, theological colleges and other nonetheless worthy good works.
